Want An Easy Way To Keep Your Dog Happy And Healthy In Less Than 10 Minutes A Day?
According to a 2012 survey conducted by the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention, 53% of adult dogs were classified as overweight or obese by their veterinarian. In addition to the health concerns, many experts say that lack of exercise is a leading cause of hyperactive and destructive behavior in dogs.
As the owner of two beloved pit bull dogs, I'm always looking for ways to keep them well exercised. My busy schedule doesn't allow for the long walks recommended by professional dog behaviorists. I read about something called a flirt pole and thought it would be worth trying out. It works by converting the natural prey drive instinct in dogs into exercise as they attempt to catch the lure by sprinting, changing direction, and jumping.
So I bought one of the fiberglass rod flirt poles that are made in China. The good news is the dogs went crazy chasing the lure. The bad news is it lasted one day. One chomp on the tip of the rod and the fiberglass broke and splintered in my dog's mouth. I was angry and decided to design my own.
Sure, you can make a simple DIY flirt pole following instructions online. But I didn't want a simple flirt pole, I wanted the best flirt pole possible. So I developed the Squishy Face Studio Flirt Pole, which I truly believe is the ultimate dog exercise toy for busy people. Our Flirt Poles are made in the USA using components tested for durability, strength, safety and light weight.
Here are some features that make our Flirt Pole V2 the best:
- The only flirt pole on the market that uses bungee cord to prevent “whiplash” when lure is caught
- Perfect for people with limited mobility
- Our tough dog toys can be used with dogs of any size
- Also works great as a training tool and provides the mental exercise dogs need
- Regular size flirt pole has a 36” pole section and 52” cord
- Jr size available for smaller play areas with 24" pole and 42" cord
- Includes your choice of durable braided fleece lures in two color combinations, with or without squeaker
- Easily change lures without the use of fasteners that can injure your dog's mouth
- Lightweight. The Flirt Pole with the included lure weighs less than one pound
- Soft, non-slip grip and wrist strap for easy handling
Imagine a quiet evening at home after a long, grueling day at work. The only sound you hear is an occasional “snort, snort” and the muffled “fruff, fruff, fruff” of dream barking. Your furry best friend is sleeping like a log, tuckered out from playing with the Flirt Pole. You are relaxed too. Comforted knowing you are helping your four-legged family stay happy and healthy while still having time to put your aching feet up and let your body soak into soft cushions. This could be your night too!

My Jack Russell Terriers go absolutely bonkers the minute they see the flirt pole. We feel good knowing they're getting exercise and having a great time as well.
One of our best sellers--for good reason!

Flirt poles are the best exercise and training tools on the planet. And this particular pole is the best! Well-made, easy to use, durable and best of all, safe. I not only love this pole for my own dogs but I've sold hundreds of them to our customers around the world--we've never had a complaint, only rave reviews!
Belgion Mali"gator" tires out

I LOVE this flirt pole for playing with my dog. He's grabbed the actual pole several times and no damage at all to it. Surprisingly, he's grabbed the cord repeated times and it's still in tact. I love this product and it does wear him out!

I've been using this flirt pole for over 2 years now and am continually amazed at how well-made and durable it is. It's my favorite way to simultaneously exercise and train my dogs and I love that it can even be used indoors during bad weather. I have a website that sells products for pit bull-type dogs and we have hundreds of happy customers who ditched their dangerous homemade flirt poles and are now addicted to their Squishy Face Studios poles! Excellent customer service and I love that they support rescue and are a small family business like mine!

We stock these in our store and we can't keep them in. We recommend them to be used for 10 minutes before bringing dogs to training classes. The dogs are able to concentrate.
Fun Exercise and Training Aid

We provide in-home dog training and recommend these for nearly all of our clients. They are great exercise & can be used to teach the "drop" command. The best part is seeing the delight on owners' faces when they first play flirt with their dogs. It's hard to tell who's enjoying the game more!

My 7 month old English Labrador was not getting enough exercise due to my physical limitations. This has been a wonderful addition to her routine AND she gets very excited when it comes out. She loves playing with it and I have managed to incorporate some obedience training with our sessions.
Very reasonably priced and a valuable addition to our service dog training tool box.
Just the right toy!
Posted by Sara's "mom" on 18th Oct 2014
Sara is about 3 and was a stray for quite awhile. She has a strong prey drive, will bolt after anything that moves and become intoxicated by the chase. To make it even harder, she came to me with an old break in her leg that made major surgery necessary - complete with a titanium plate and eight surgical screws. Healing required two months of complete rest, just short. leashed walks to pee and poop. And she's a hyper Border Collie mix. We both were almost psychotic by the time the bone healed. The flirt pole is perfect for her! It's helping me to ramp up her exercise to strengthen her muscles, shift her focus from critters to toys, and she loves it! She learned "flirtie" in less than a day and we play with it several times a day, before every walk. I was going to make one, but yours is better :-)
Finally, something that tires her out!

As a Pitbull Puppy Mom I'm tired of taking so many walks to tire our baby out. This has solved that problem! What a high-quality piece of equipment. Light enough that my arm doesn't get tired. I just wish we had a bigger yard, so she could really get going without crashing into a bush.

I have this product in my training center as a training tool to help with holding commands. The dogs love it and so do the owners!! Great idea.
My favorite toy!

The Flirt Pole V2 is by far my favorite toy. When the pantry door opens, I go for the Flirt Pole rather than my kibble! The only problem is that my humans put it away before I'm ready to stop.
Engaging, fun toy!

We have a ten year old Boston, and an eight month old Boston......I don't know who loves the flirt pole more! It's great exercise for both their minds and body. I didn't think they could play together with it, because little Gypsy is so bossy, but as you can see in the photo, there's room for two! It is well made, sturdy, and the option of a squeaker is a great idea.

All around good pole. Well constructed. Can interchange your own flirt toys. Fast Delivery!...wish it was lighter.
Easy exercise tool!

My three year old pit bull, Brenna loves the flirt pole! It is a great workout for her especially since she is eating more because of new allergy meds. After ten minutes, she needs a break. So far so good! She's rough with toys so we'll see how long the toy on the end lasts.
Awesome!! Thank you!!

Thank you! My recently adopted dog, an American Pit Bull Terrier, LOVES his new toy! And it's so great to work on training with him while playing, especially since he's not treat motivated when he's excited about something, but he is definitely toy motivated for his new flirt pole game! In just the last 2 days he is now dropping into a down (instead of needing to be coaxed & trying to offer a paw instead) and holding a stay until I release him, even when I slowly lower the toy from my hand to the ground, just a few feet in front of him. His "drop" request will take some more work, but this toy is great for teaching that too! I'm so excited to have a toy motivated dog (my girl is all about the treats) and to have this flirt pole that he can't get enough of!
So I have a super hyper foster dog...
Posted by Elsie on 18th Oct 2014
So I have a super hyper foster dog, who has making me crazy. I bought your flirt pole and the whole pack loves it! I have never seen him that tired before! I wish I had one before! I was also surprised by how great the quality was. I will definitely suggest this to adopters and other rescuers. Even my husband commented on how good Tyson (our super hyperactive pit bull foster) was. He usual annoys all the other dogs --and us-- with his incessant playing. And last night after using it 2 times, for about 10 minutes each, he actually sat and even just laid down nicely- that almost never happens. I should add, we haven't used it yet today (I try to wait until after 9 to make noise) and Tyson is still much calmer. He is just sitting politely next to me on the couch and not being obnoxious like usual. Here is a picture of Tyson exhausted after playing yesterday.

Hey! Just wanted to let you know that my boy and I have had some fun with your flirt pole. We will be lending it out to colleagues and friends as well as recommending it to clients. :) In addition to working at Dioji (www.dioji.com) as an assistant manager and dog trainer, where 6 other managers and employees own pit-bull breeds btw, I also volunteer with a no-kill shelter where the Flirt Pole will help exercise lots of dogs. It's light-weight and easy to hold onto with the grip handle. The bungee cord allows for movement without actual tugging or jerking. My dog, Horace, is almost 8 years old now, he got kind of lazy after the first time with the Flirt Pole and started to grab the string if he could - but playtime stopped for a moment each time he did and he quickly realized what was more fun. I also liked how bouncy the cord is because I could fling the toy up into the air and my dog would jump for it too, whereas another type of string wouldn't have exactly the same effect.
Great product, Great Company.

I recommend Squishy Face's high quality Flirt Poles to all my clients with dogs that have high prey/herding/play drive. Great training tool too.
Squishy Face Studio is a pleasure to deal with too.
